I know exactly how you feel. I’m struggling making friends with my second son (7 months) my first son was born just before covid so mat leave and nct groups were a write off. My old friends have disappeared, it's really hard. It is helping me see who my real friends are and similarly I’m finding the ones who make the effort are much further away but I’m so appreciative to have some adult conversation even if it is twice a year or something. I’m hoping it will get easier when they start school or I go back to work but I was never good at making friends in those situations either so I’m probably expecting too much!
Thank you for reaching out and commenting. I'm so sorry you feel this way too. Its so damn tricky isnt it. And society would have us believe its so easy to make friends with other mums. I'm always here if you want another Internet friend x
Everyone recommends the peanut app as if I’ve never heard of it like when you meet someone single and suggest Tinder and they just roll their eyes in response. I think making friends as an adult is hard anyway let alone when a little person needs your attention too.
Anyway I just wanted to say I read your new post and I’m so sorry for what you are going through, and what you’ve been through. Have you read Clover Stroud’s, The Red of My Blood? If you find comfort in reading, she has had a similar experience and it’s very beautifully written x
Oh I know what you mean about peanut. I didn't like it at all anyway. I found I was becoming a person I didn't like swiping and judging people. It was horrid
And thank you for the book recommendation. I'll take a look. X

Hello, I recognize bits of me in your words :)
So pleased it's resonated. I hope you find your shoes soon.
